WHAT IS ISLAM??

To believe in Only One God and to associate no partners with Him

 In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

  Say: He is Allah, the One and Only! 
   Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; 
  He begetteth not nor is He begotten. 
  And there is none like unto Him. (Qu’ran; 112)

And To Believe that Muhammad is His last and final messenger.

 

To Believe that the Holy Qu’ran is Gods final revelation.

 

To follow the example of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and his followers.

 

To believe in what was revealed before the Qu’ran including the orginal torah and gospel.

 “And We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps, confirming that which was (revealed) before him in the Torah, and We bestowed on him the Gospel wherein is guidance and a light, confirming that which was (revealed) before it in the Torah - a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil)” (Surah 5:46).

To believe in all of the messengers and prophets of God from Adam (The First Man Created) to Muhammad (The last and final messenger of God) including Enoch (The first man to write), Noah, Abraham, Ishmael Moses, Jesus (May the peace & blessings of God be upon them all). 

Say: “We believe in God and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants, and that which was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord We do not discriminate between them and to God we have all submitted.” [2:136]
